Recorded in the National Register of Historic Places, La Porte County Court House is constructed of Lake Superior Red Sandstone. The 1892 courthouse has gargoyles, gilded friezes, and an open-arched central tower with a 272-piece glass skylight. It is located at 813 Lincolnway, La Porte, Indiana.

On land once belonging to his people, this full-length statue of a Potawatomi Native American stands with a broken spear as a symbol of peace with the European pioneers. It is located in on the La Porte County courthouse grounds in La Porte, Indiana.

Located at US 35 and Schultz Road north of La Porte, Indiana, this radio tower is home and annual Field Day operation of the W9LY repeaters. It is also the summer meeting place of the LPCARC.  For more information visit http://lpcarc.org/repeaters.html



LaPorte, Indiana’s first public library, LaPorte Carnegie Library, was built with funds from philanthropist Andrew carnegie and opened in 1920 with 30,000 volumes. The library was renovated in 1991 and retains the original 1920 section.  The library is at 1020 Lincolnway. www.laportelibrary.org
